David Grinstead

Director

David heads the Commercial Services team at Bingham Mansfield. With particular experience in dispute resolution and employment, David acts for a wide range of clients including listed companies, SME’s and individuals. David has not acted as a mediator but has acted for clients in many mediations.

David’s work includes many cases that have been reported. These include:

Esam Mustafa Ali

Trainee Solicitor

Esam graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sussex. Before this, as a passionate football enthusiast, he played professionally in the United Arab Emirates. Most recently, Esam worked as a Private Equity Consultant, collaborating closely with investors, and gaining valuable insights into the financial and investment sectors. Driven by his commitment to a career in legal practice, Esam joined Bingham Mansfield in 2024 as a Trainee Solicitor and works alongside David Grinstead on a diverse range of corporate, commercial and litigation matters.

Jo Gates

Director

Jo qualified as a solicitor in 1998 with a City firm before moving to the south coast and has worked with David Grinstead since 2014. She specialises in dispute resolution in the following areas:

  • Wills, trust and estate disputes
  • Private and commercial contract disputes
  • Insolvency proceedings including actions against directors
  • Defamation
  • Misuse of private information

Natalie Bennett

Solicitor

Natalie qualified as a solicitor in November 2019 having over 4 years’ previous experience in the legal sector. She deals with a variety of commercial and dispute resolution matters as well as assisting David Grinstead with larger and complex matters and cases. Natalie aims to provide excellent client care in a practical and approachable manner.
